I'm so excited about this project. It's going to be a monumental part of American theater.

I heard Judy Shepard speak about her new book "The Meaning of Matthew" , about her son's death, and the aftermath of his horrible murder 11 years ago this evening at a local Austin bookstore.
She spoke about the need to talk. "Talk. Talk. Talk." is the best way to make change she said. "Don't whisper. Say it out loud." she urged. "Make it personal" and people will listen and people will care she told us.
There is power in speech. Words are not just sounds or symbols on a page. Words do things. Words can change the world.
I am inspired by being a part of this project. I am inspired to share our voice, the voice of the Tectonic Theatre Project, the voice of Laramie Wyoming, and the voice of Judy Shepard. These voices,. our voices, speaking together, aloud, will change the world.
Tonight, Judy Shepard's voice changed my world. She inspired me to speak out and change the world along with her.
