FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2ND PRODUCTION BY ON THE FRINGE VAPA: THE LARAMIE PROJECT WILL OPEN AT THE SOLANO AIDS COALITION FEBRUARY 12-14 & 19-21

January 2016- The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman and The Tectonic Theater Project is the second production by non-profit theatre company On The Fringe VAPA. The show will open on February 12th and will run until February 21st with Friday and Saturday shows at 8pm and Sunday shows at 2pm. Performances will be at the Solano AIDS Coalition on 1405 Georgia Street, Vallejo CA.

This haunting story is about the reaction to the 1998 murder of University of Wyoming gay student Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming. The play itself includes the interviews of people from Laramie, people who attended the trial, public reports, and the people interviewing these witnesses.

Be part of the audience on February 13th for a special talk back after the performance. The talk back panel will include a member from the Matthew Shepard Foundation, the Dean of Inclusion from Grand Rapids University, the Head of the Solano AIDS Coalition, along with the cast and director of the show.

The cast includes James Adams**, Matthew Finkelstein, Robert Finney**, Susan George*, Jennifer Preciado*, Nic Rogoff, Nicollette Rojas, Scott Slagle*, Molly Stats*, Keith Thompson, Rebekah Vega**, and Luke Winders. This cast is directed by On The Fringe founder Maria Stats*. Join the wonderful cast of The Laramie Project in keeping this enduring story alive. This story will spotlight real issues in our society so help embrace diversity, build awareness, and erase hate by coming to be part of Matthew’s story.

Ticket prices are $20 with a portion going to the Solano AIDS Coalition and the rest going to fund On The Fringe’s children's theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www.onthefringevapa.org/store.
